Hello my lovely friends! Today I am sharing Waffleflower's May release (yes, ik it's July and they just released a super cute set which I'm about to hop on over and check it out ;) but what a release it was!!) Sweet as Ice Cream Combo card. I started with a 4 x 5.25" Canson 140 lbs coldpress cardstock and grabbed some blue watercolor paint. I lightly wet down my cardstock and then began painting until I had the coverage and color I desired. ***TIP*** Remember to work on a hard surface like a cutting board and have a microfiber towel handy to blot up water or color that seems to puddle in undesirable areas. Also, heat set layers makes the process go a bit quicker. You can heat both sides to even the cardstock out. Next, I used MFT stitched rectangle die and further die cut that panel down. Then I adhered that onto my cardbase which was a Neenah 110llb Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.
Afterwards, I stamped Waffleflower's adorable cuties with Momento black ink and heat set it and began Copic coloring. The images below demonstrate the colors that I used for the mouse, the cherry/leaf, and ice cream cone respectively.
With the images colored, I then put some foam squares on the back of them which added some dimension to the card. I used my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, I just love it to pieces, and put my sentiment on. Lastly, I added some enamel dots, sequins, and glossy accents to my cherry.
