Sending Smiles with stars

Welcome back friends! Today I'm sharing 2 very quick but super fun SOL Star Fold-It cards using the April 2019 Card Kit which btw is loaded with amazing yummies! This kit has a very masculine color palette, so take advantage and make your guy cards now:)

My first Star Fold-It uses the SOL April 2019 Card Kit completely from the paper and sentiment to the embellishments. First, I die cut my star cardbase from Pool CS. I use the smaller star die in the Star Fold-It kit and cut the striped paper from the Sending Smiles Paper Collection and adhere it to my cardbase. Then I create a Powder Sugar Star frame and adhere it right on top. I then add the anchor chipboard ephemera and 3 epoxy dots to the bottom left of the star. Inside, I die cut a Midnight smaller star and glue that down. I die cut "Sending smiles" sentiment out of Powder Sugar which already has SOL double sided adhesive sheet on it. This way, it makes sticking down this sentiment a snap!

For the second Star Fold-It card, I wanted to stretch my supplies, so I incorporate the balloons from the Elephant pudgie stamp and die set. I use the same Pool CS Star Fold-It Cardbase. This time, I cut the smaller star die using the bright and fun polka dot pattern paper in the Sending Smiles Paper Collection and adhere it to my cardbase. I then add a Midnight star frame around the the Star Fold-It. I stamp three balloons from the Elephant Pudgie stamp and die set from Strawberry, Kiwi and Pool colors and die cut them out. I add highlights using Smooch, which is available in the Party Animal LIVE Online Class. I prefer using Smooch over any gel pen any day! I have tried so many gel pens and I get the same scratchy mess! Smooch delivers a smooth finish and it is easy to use. I 100% recommend it! I also add glossy accents to the balloons to give a nice 3D affect. On the inside of the card, I first cut out a smaller star out of Powder Sugar and adhere it down. Then I stamp "Life is Better With Friends" sentiment which comes in the SOL April 2019 Card Kit.

Two simple yet impactful shape cards for this months SOL Card Kit:)
