Elegantly Impressed

I am so sorry my friends for the late nature of my following blogs. A nasty flu for over 10 days combined with summertime must do's for my college kiddos and my upcoming trip set everything back. I sincerely apologize! But let's get started now!

I really wanted to do something different with this gorgeous background die. So my idea was to create a minimalist yet elegant card front plus have a lovely surprise on the inside. I believe a variety of background dies are a must for your stash. They provide gorgeous layers to your focal, can be used as stencils for different mediums, can be impressed (my favorite with the subtle highlights) and stacked. I just love background dies because they make crafting outstanding cards that much easier. We love that don't we!

So this is quite simple to put together. I started with Powdered Sugar CS card base. Then used my go to Stitched Rectangle Die set to die cut Candy CS and adhered it directly to the CB. Using Guave CS, I die cut and impressed the Mum Background Die following my die cut machine's instructions using a nice impression pad. Afterwards I highlighted using white ink just one mum. I paired this with Butterfly2build.

For the inside, I die cut a stencil first. Any CS will do. Then, I took another piece of Guave CS and die cut the large corner mum. I paper pieced it using the stencil. Lastly, I added my sentiment which comes from sayings4wreath

I hope this inspired you a bit to use your dies creatively. Remember to #stampsoflife your beautiful projects!!

Thanks again for joining me!
