Hello and thank you for coming to my blog.
I am sharing a card using The Stamps of Life newly released Window Stitched Die. My first intention with this die set is to utilize it exclusively because I will certainly be showcasing this die in future cards. You can customize this 14 piece die however you want, making it extremely versatile. Let's talk about my inspiration and card.
As soon as I saw the Window Stitched DIe die set, I knew I wanted to go ultra contemporary, chic, and abstract. Piet Mondrian's artwork came to mind. I start with a Powdered Sugar CS A2 size base. I die cut out of Licorice CS the stitched grid. With a straight edge and a metal ruler, I precisely cut measured foam pieces to fit on the back of this grid. This is what takes the longest for this card. I die cut Strawberry, Banana, and Pool CS using the smaller stitched squares. I ink blend the edges of all the colorful squares to achieve added depth. I die cut 2 black squares and add foam tape to the back. Next I adhere the foam tape pieces to the back of the grid. I adhere that to my card base and play around with the colorful pieces for placement. When I'm happy, the pieces get glued directly to the card base inside the grid. Lastly, I used the "Stay Cool" sentiment from the December 2018 Card Kit. Those sentiments included in the card kits are incredibly handy to have!
