Blossoming Floral Alpha

Welcome back everyone! Well, Spring is here and I have a wonderful stamp set from Kindred Stamps that I would like to share with you today. Floral Alpha is NEW for April 2021 KS Release and it is definitely a showstopper for all your personalized Spring cards not to mention just in time for MOTHER'S DAY! This set is perfect for holidays, envelopes, personalized birthdays, love and friendship cards, planners, journals, personalized note cards and even personalized lunch bags for your kiddos! We all look for versatility and longevity in stamp sets and this one fits the bill! I know you will love it just as much as I do!

All letters and images were colored first using Ohuhu Alcohol Brush Markers and a few Copic Brush Tip Markers. **TIP** For the letters, outline the letters in a deeper color and gradually blend using a lighter marker towards the middle of each letter. This creates nice highlights so your letters will pop. All my panels were die cut using Waffle Flower Crafts A2 Lacy Layers Die. I am currently obsessed with these layering dies.

Copic Colors used:

GRASS - YG01, YG17, YG25

PENGUIN and ELEPHANT BODIES - N1, N3, N5, N7,C0, C00 AND N3, N1, C0, C00, R21

Ohuhu Colors used:

MOM - P3, P2, R5

YAY - RP1, R15, R23

HBD- GY6, GY4, GY5,BG4, PB7, PB8

For my first card, I ink blended Tim Holtz for Ranger Ink Kitsch Flamingo using KS Skinny Plaid Stencil onto a panel of Bristol Smooth CS. I started very gently and only accented the diamonds with more ink. The picture doesn't really show this. I then used Spellbinders April 2021 Card Kit of the month to create the envelope and the bouquet of flowers. However, you can always cut by hand an envelope and use your dies in your stash to create a floral arrangement. Using the KS Floral Alpha, I glued "MOM" letters directly onto the envelope.

I paired KS Cupid's Crew with the NEW Floral Alpha for my second card. First I ink blended on a 3.5 x 5" Bristol Smooth CS panel some Tim Holtz for Ranger Ink Tumbled Glass and Broken China for the sky and then gradually blended Twisted Citron for a lush field of grass. I took my favorite Copic Color combo for grass YG01, YG17, YG25 and created a quick grassy patch which will ground my image. I popped up my unicorn on some foam tape and also used Glossy Accents on the balloon for some dimensional affect. The KS Floral Alpha Letters "YAY" are also popped up using foam tape. I quickly made a sentiment banner from KS Party Animals "It's your birthday" which is colored in using the same hues as in the letters.

For my last project, I combined KS Party Animals with the NEW Floral Alpha. Now is definitely the time to work on building up your birthday card stash so that you can have a HBD card at the ready in a pinch. I started with some Bristol Smooth CS and used Tim Holtz for Ranger Ink Distress Oxides Kitsch Flamingo, Spiced Marmalade and Squeezed Lemonade. I then stamped using Versamark Ink and WOW Clear Fine Embossing powder some glittery stars in the background. The KS Floral Alpha Letters "HBD" (Happy Birthday) continue the rainbow theme and blend from green to blue. These letters are foam taped onto the panel and the images are adhered directly onto the panel. Finished off my card using a banner sentiment "Have A Wild Celebration" from KS Party Animals.
