Hello Kindred Stamp fans! Those of you who are new to Kindred Stamps, welcome, and I encourage you to check out the website for some unique and amazing quality sets! Honestly, I love how thick the stamps sets are and therefore the impressions you get are fantastic. I'm so happy to be sharing my designs with you all. Today, I worked with the adorable Party Animal Stamp set Let's get started and I'll walk you through all the steps.
I normally ink up, stamp and color my images first before creating my panel. First, I stamped out the adorable bunny/balloon image. I wanted the giraffe to have some balloons, as well, so I masked the bunny with some tape, inked up the stamp and stamped just the balloons on Xpress It CS. Then I positioned the giraffe swinging a bit on his back and attached him to the previously stamped balloons. I colored the images using Ohuhu Markers. Next, I created a scalloped rectangle panel, and blended clouds using Kindred Stamps Cloud Builder Stencil with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks: (Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Chipped Sapphire) I absolutely love this stencil. Not only do you get 4 different cloud edges to blend, but also different cloud cut outs so you can use texture paste and also a beautiful rectangular cloud scene. Amazing bang for the buck right there!!
So next, I then added stitched clouds to the bottom of my panel which has the same blended Distress Oxide inks. Using my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, I stamped my sentiment on the cloud panel. Then, I popped it up with some foam tape for a bit of dimension.
I wanted to make the sweet bunny swing as he was flying away so I lightly marked where I wanted the bunny flying and die cut a very small circle from my scalloped rectangle panel. I then die cut 2 slightly larger white circles. I placed the white die cut circle on the back of my panel and then glued a small button on the front of the panel directly onto the die cut circle. I then glued the second circle on top of the button. This is the mechanism that makes the bunny swing. Lastly I glued the bunny image onto the circle. Tada! A flying swinging bunny!! To finish my card, I added some foam tape to the giraffe and placed some star embellishments around.
